Wow it's been awhile!

Ok so it has been quite a while since I have been on here!! Let's see here.... Elli is now getting quite smart, she can count 1-15 on her own she can say all her ABC's in order on her own plus she has our nighttime prayer memorized... We are now going to start tackling some reading with her.... Sammy just turned 2 and is just so cute... She is always saying "ok" it's too funny... And if she says "no" and I tell her not say that word she looks at me and says "yes" too funny.... And Khloe... Well she is just getting bigger and bigger! She is now on all 4's rocking back and forth and she was even crawling backwards the other day.... So I suppose she will be crawling in the next month or so I would say.... As for me and Hiram things are going real well... We just recently moved back out onto our own and we love it! It's the cheapest rent we have ever had to pay, and it's probably the best place we have stayed! It's so quiet and just so peaceful... We love it!!!!

My Khloe Bug....

Ok before I go on to the actual post just want to let everyone know we are now calling Lexie... Khloe... Since it is her real first name and it's beautiful.... So ok now that you all know that lol

We had quite the adventure with Khloe this past day/evening.... she had a high fever (102.6 at the doctor's office) and the doctor saw nothing wrong so he said it was possibly the start of RSV or Croup... Ok so all day we were doing what he told us by giving her both Tylenol and Motrin... And her fever would not break for anything... It just kept climbing... So around 6-7 last night I called the doctor and her fever was 103.5 and she was refusing to eat all afternoon (last bottle at 12:30) so he told us to get her into the ER right away.... Ok so I did (daddy was working but fortunately got off to meet us there) and of course they rushed us in right away (which was nice not to have to wait) her fever hadn't changed and she was breathing a little fast but they chalked that up to whatever pain was going on in her little body... So the doctor came in and said that both her ears were a little red and swollen and that she had an ear infection in both ears My poor baby... Ok so we got her antibiotics and I gave her the first dose last night... Well then around midnight she started fussing so I picked her up to give her some more Tylenol and Motrin figuring she was just starting to get warm again... And nope she threw up everywhere!! I mean I have never seen anyone throw up that much... But I just assume that it was cause she had an empty tummy... So of course I was up most the night watching her and she was uncomfortable all night so she didn't sleep either... Well around 3:30 this morning she started to feel like she was burning up... I took her temp and it was 105.3!!! I didn't know what to do, I panicked and just froze up!! I was so scared.... So I gave her the Tylenol and Motrin and within like 20 minutes it went back down! Thank God!!! It hasn't been up since but I was up all night... I am so exhausted today it's not even funny!! But good thing is she woke up with NO fever!!! Yay she is much better..... But it was such a scarey day/night... I had never had to deal with that with either of the other two!!

Be thankful everyday

So as most of you know I am a part of a baby board on Baby center, where we offer advice and can create great friendships... But as much happiness and joy that comes out of these boards there are always some sadness and sorrow. Just recently one of the ladies whose baby was born just 8 days before Lexie, was called up to God by SIDS. He was also taken on Lexie's 4 month birthday. This story brings tears to my eyes and makes me so sad and I just can't imagine what this family is going through! It makes me wanna just hold onto all 3 of the girls and kiss them all over until they are super sick of kisses! It also makes me thank God everyday for blessing me with these 3 beautiful girls and I thank him every day that he keeps them in our lives. It makes me realize just how much I take for granted through out the days. And I will from now on stop and talk to Elli no matter what, I will stop and watch Sammy throw her baseball across the backyard, and I will now stop and just listen to Lexie babble on and on in happiness! You just don't know which day will be your last. Everyday is a gift and I will no longer take any of them for granted. I pray that I will get to watch all 3 of the girls grow up happy, healthy, get married, have babies of their own, and even watch them become grandparents! That is my biggest wish and prayer... So don't take any day for granted! I surely won't be!!

They're home!

So Hiram and Sammy made it home safetly last night or should I say early this morning! They were supposed to leave Chicago at 9:30 (CST) and land at 11pm (MST) well that didn't happen and they actually left Chicago at 10:30 (CST) and landed at 12am (MST) and then it took them another 30 minutes to get off the plane to baggage claim... Then they were having baggage problems so another 30 minutes before we got the bags and headed to the car... I brought both Elli and Lexie to the airport (I know crazy since it was so late) but Sammy and Elli missed each other so much that I knew it would be good for them to see each other... Plus Elli wanted to show Sammy their new doll house so I didn't want her to be asleep... So they were so cute (as always lol) and they were holding hands everywhere we went in the airport and all the way to the car... And they both had stuffed animals for each other (Elli gave Sammy a giraffe, and Sammy gave Elli a Scooby Doo).... And they loved them! Hugged on them all night... So we finally go to the car around 1:30am got all the luggage in the car and headed home! It was so nice to see them again... Elli and Sammy fell asleep on the way home, but they fell asleep holding hands and heads together!! They are the best of friends and I really wish I had had a camera handy to take a picture because it was the sweetest thing! So then we get home and Elli was super excited to show Sammy their new room! The dollhouse but more importantly Sammy's new big girl bed! That is right Sammy is now in her very own big girl bed, no more cribs for her!! So we get them all ready for bed and of course they didn't want to sleep alone, so Elli crawled in with Sammy and they fell asleep together! I am so blessed to have girls who love each other so much!!!

A little break

Ok so Hiram and Sammy are now in Chicago for 5 days :( I miss them like crazy! But these 5 days are going to be good for everyone I think!! I get to spend some really good one on one time with Elli and he gets to with Sammy, and the girls get to have a little break from each other too... I am going to take Elli and Lexie to the park a couple times... I am going to take Elli to dinner and shopping plus she gets to sleep with mommy and Lexie and she absolutely loves the idea of that!!! Plus Sammy is going to get spoiled rotten by all our family there in Chicago... Yet I still keep finding myself wishing the time away so that I can see my precious baby girl and my wonderful husband again! I miss them so much and I am sure they miss us too!! Until Monday, I am off to spend good quality time with Elli and Lexie!!

Irritates me to no end!!

Ok a disclaimer first.... If you don't like my political views and will get pissy over this post, you may want to leave now and not look any further... I didn't want to make this blog too political but this is going to be my first political post because the hypocracy and double standards pisses me off to no end!

I am sick and tired of people talking about how "awesome" Obama is... Ok you like him so f***ing what! Nobody cared when I liked Bush, in fact I got burned for it more times then one... Yes I know he wasn't one of the best presidents but he DID have out best interests at heart... At least in my opinion... Obama, not so much... Anyway on to what this is about... Again I say (And I have steam coming out my ears right now!!) the hypocrisy and double standard is ridiculous and absolute bullshit (sorry for the language!) Here is an article I just recieved about an outrage over Obama's face being photoshopped in the Joker... Read on and you will find out why I am so angry over this....

Spoof poster of Obama's face painted as The Joker branded 'dangerous and mean-spirited'
By Mail Foreign ServiceLast updated at 2:25 PM on 04th August 2009

A poster depicting Barack Obama as Batman villain The Joker has been called 'mean-spirited and dangerous' by the U.S. President's supporters.

The image, which has been adopted by Mr Obama's critics, shows him wearing the white face paint and smudged red lips of the character most recently played by the late actor Heath Ledger. Beneath the picture reads the word 'socialism'.

Controversy: The poster, which depicts President Barack Obama as Batman villain The Joker has divided U.S. opinion

The creator of the image remains unknown, but the website that first published the image crashed yesterday because so many had been attempting to view it. It has since been spotted in Los Angeles and Atlanta after it appeared in U.S. media.

The right-wing editor of the American Thinker website, Thomas Lifson, wrote today: 'It is starting.
Inspiration: The poster mimics the make-up worn by late actor Heath Ledger in the latest Batman film

'Open mockery of of Barack Obama, as disillusionment sets in with the man, his policies, and the phony image of a race-healing, brilliant, scholarly middle-of-the-roader.'
But the President's supporters have condemned the image, calling it 'mean-spirited and dangerous.'

A spokesman from the Los Angeles urban policy unit said that depicting the president as demonic and a socialist 'goes beyond political spoofery.'

The image comes as the President faces criticism over his plans to create a $1trillion healthcare programme.

Republican chairman Michael Steele first used the word 'socialism' in relation to Mr Obama two weeks ago as he slammed the President's attempts to push Congress into passing the healthcare reforms.

Vanity Fair Portrayed Bush As ‘Joker’
From the archives of the Vanity Fair:
George W. Bush: Comic-Book Villain?
by Vanity Fair
July 29, 2008
Drew Friedman, the author of The Fun Never Stops, Old Jewish Comedians, and More Old Jewish Comedians, sent us the following visual comment. It is entitled "No Joke."
What a difference a year makes, huh?

How quickly they forget

Obama-bots are in a tizzy over a silly poster of Dear Leader as The Joker.

The BDS-infected Left may have wiped the violent imagery and assassination fascination targeting the president from their memories.

I haven’t:

Related: The Anchoress notes the race-card players and celebrates free speech, Hillary-style:
As Hillary Clinton famously yelled, “I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration, somehow you’re not patriotic, and we should stand up and say, ‘WE ARE AMERICANS AND WE HAVE A RIGHT TO DEBATE AND DISAGREE WITH ANY ADMINISTRATION!’”

Free speech. It might be the very best thing about America, even when it irks.

Ok so here are links to both the Obama Joker and the Bush Joker.... Now why is it ok to do it to Bush and not Obama???!!!

Night training

Ok so now that Elli is officially potty trained (it has been 21 days today without an accident and we don't have to put her on the potty she just goes without asking) during the day.... It is time to work on night training, I think.... lol... So we did the same that we did with the training... Just going to take the diapers away and just put her in panties... I know it's a risk since the night she has less control of her bowels... But she gets drier and drier each morning... So last night was our first experimentation... I put two pairs of thick training underwear on plus a pair of plastic undies.... She did not stay dry :( But I figured as much... But it wasn't enough to go through the plastic pants to the sheet... So yay the sheet was spared lol... Although I know now for the next however long we will be doing at least one load of laundry a day LOL.... So now just wish us luck!!!

Potty training!

So I just wanted to update everyone on the whole potty training experience we have had with Elli.... We decided one day we were just going to do it and no more diapers (except of course bed time lol) so we just put her in big girl panties and went from there! That was about 4 weeks ago... So the first 2 weeks were horrible and so rough!! She never once went in the potty... But she did "poo poo" on the back porch once which was pretty funny... Not at the time but now it is!! :D... So we finally had a breakthrough last week... She just went on the potty for the first time and it was super exciting!! Then she went a day or two without going again... But then starting oh I would say about Thursday last week... She now goes at least twice in the potty, and has very rare accidents... She even came running into the house yesterday with underwear in hand yelling "I have to go in the big girl potty!!" So I put her on and she went right away!! I am super proud of my baby girl, she is finally getting the idea and hang of pottying on the big girl potty and I honestly feel we are in the home stretch now!!!

Summer '09

This summer has been super fun and I had the awesome opportunity to stay home with my girls for the first half of it! Elli and Sammy have had a blast playing outside in their sand box and in the pool! They have both gotten super tan! I can't wait until next year when Lexie will be out there running around with them!! I don't think I have ever cleaned so much sand off someone ever lol!! I love watching them play and smile and getting along together... It is the best feeling a mom can have.... This summer has probably been the best I have ever had... We have definitely had the best time as a family and this summer we have grown together and closer than ever!

Moved in!!

Alright so as of this afternoon we were officially moved! So exciting and so relieved! Now all we need to do is get into the old place and get it clean before final inspection.. But that isn't until the 30th so we have a little over a week to do it! But our plan is to hopefully get in and done on Monday.... We will be taking a little "break" tomorrow for father's day and the sheer fact that we are so freaking exhausted from being non stop for the last couple weeks!! But I will post another blog here soon once we are settled and with more fun news and no more boring posts about moving!! LOL :D

Monday, June 15, 2009

Well it has been quite awhile since I have been able to update!!! We are in the process of packing/cleaning/moving.... Our moving day is on Saturday the 20th! So excited we are done being in the place we were for numerous reasons! And on to the next year to save and work on getting on track to buy our first house next year!! I am hoping it works out for us.... But may be a little while again but just wanted everyone to know that we are ok but just that we are super busy!!!

Too much stress...

Well as most of you know.. We are in the process of moving. And boy is packing and trying to take care of 3 kids super stressful! I can't get anything done while Elli and Sammy are awake, which limits my time down to not a lot! I am feeling like I am going to have to pull a couple all nighters to get it all done... I feel like I am going gray from all this stress! But now the countdown starts... 13 days until we want to be completely out!! Wish us luck!

Artwork

So as all of you know Hiram is an awesome artist and has been stuggling for some time to get his name and artwork out there... Well as of today he has a spot in an exclusive gallery as a featured artist! They are going to start showing his work no later than Friday when they do a gallery walkthrough where big name famous buyers walk through the gallery and buy off tons of paintings!! They want to start his paintings at a couple hundred a pop!!! Hopefully this is is break and will bring in that extra cash flow that we definitely need!! I will let you all know how it went after the show on Friday!!!

The Beginning

Well this is my attempt at this whole blogging thing... I want to be able to keep our families connected and give everyone a place to come and keep up with the girls development! First I wanna introduce ourselves (although everyone probably knows us lol) We are Hiram and Nicole we have been happily married since 3/15/07. We have the three most beautiful girls, Elliana (Elli, 7/26/06), Samantha (Sammy, 10/29/07), and Khloe (Lexie, 4/18/09). Elli is almost 3 and giving us the most headache right now. She is the biggest sweetheart and the biggest protector of her 2 sisters, but man does she have a mouth on her! She repeats absolutely everything and talks back all the time! Sammy is 1 1/2 and she thinks she runs the household! She can be so happy and sweet one minute and seconds later she is screeching on top of her lungs and throwing the biggest fit... And then she just laughs and/or smiles when we try and discipline her... And then there is Lexie. She is 6 weeks and she is the perfect addition to our group of princesses. She is very quiet and laid back.. She is super content unless she is hungry, wet, or thinks she is all alone. She is super close to sleeping all night which makes me so happy! She usually wakes up around 5am. She is also starting to smile!!
